Annual Spirit of Sisterhood Scholarship Award
Picture
Each year the Forever Miss Marylands donate funds to award the  "Spirit of Sisterhood Scholarship Award" to one Miss and one Teen delegate who demonstrate qualities of being a true 'sister' through their words and actions during Miss Maryland Week in June. Current delegates will nominate one of their fellow sisters to receive the Sisterhood Scholarship Award (candidates cannot nominate themselves).

The scholarship amount for the Miss and Teen Spirit of Sisterhood Award is dependent on the number of donations collected throughout the year. This year we will be awarding a $300 cash scholarship to one Miss and one Teen!  Detailed instructions and nomination form will be distributed to all Miss & Teen representatives during the June 2025 Miss Maryland Competition Week.

Essay Scholarships
Select scholarships are open to Maryland local titleholders in Maryland in the 2025 competition year.

The following are essay scholarships available to the current 2025 class of local titleholders. Awards are cash and in-kind scholarships. Thank you to those sponsors who have made these awards possible.

The Scholarship Selection Committee
To ensure fairness of the selection process, all contact information will be removed from each entry by the Scholarship Committee Chair. Essays will be designated a random number by the Chair and essays will then be distributed to all volunteer scholarship committee members.  The Scholarship Committee will review the essays, come together to deliberate and make their unanimous decision. Award recipients will be announced at the Miss Maryland Competition.

Scholarship Awards must be used for educational purposes only. Paperwork on how to request the funds will be provided to the recipient by the Scholarship Committee Chair.

All essays must be submitted by 11:59 PM on June 1 to [email protected]
Directions can be found below.
